Volunteer

Celebrate America is an opportunity for us to celebrate this great country and give back to our community.

How Can I Get Involved?

WELCOME TENT:
Volunteers are needed to welcome people as they arrive, hand out programs, and distribute tickets to the Patriotic Celebration. Many of our guests will have general questions and Welcome Tent volunteers will need to know the layout of the event as well as the schedule throughout the day. Volunteers are also needed to help set-up and tear-down this area.

CONCESSIONS:
CLA will be hosting concession areas as well as selling bottled water & lemonade throughout the event site. Volunteers are needed to help make and sell snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and drinks. The tasks are fairly simple and require no specialized skill. This area will also need  runners for ice, mixes, etc., and volunteers to help set-up and tear-down.

HEALTH SERVICES TENT:
Medical volunteers are needed to help with basic first aid and offering blood pressure screenings. Lower Allen Township EMS is partnering with us and assisting in this area as well.

KIDS KORNER:
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available in the Kids Korner area, including: Inflatables, Carnival Games, Petting Zoo Area & Pony Rides, Arts & Crafts, and much more. This is an AWESOME opportunity for parents and children (over the age of 8 ) to volunteer together and give back to the community! Volunteers are also needed to help set-up and tear-down this area.

PARKING, SECURITY & COURTESY SHUTTLE DRIVERS:

Parking Assistants & Security Personnel are needed to help direct people and vehicles. We also need volunteers to drive our courtesy shuttle buses/vans throughout the day.

PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION GREETERS & USHERS:

Volunteers are needed to lend a hand with the Indoor Patriotic Celebrations at 5:00 & 7:00 PM. You will greet guests, collect tickets and assist those who may require help with seating.

SET-UP & TEAR-DOWN:
Many volunteers are needed to complete setting up the individual areas, and then afterward to help with tear-down. Set-up occurs on Saturday, June 26 beginning at 9:00 AM. Tear-Down will begin as soon as festivities end on Sunday, June 27.

CLEAN UP:
Monday, June 28, is a critical day as we clean up the entire campus, both indoors and outdoors. If you have a few hours to help, please sign up or stop by, and lend a hand to our faithful facilities staff!

Volunteers are asked to work a two-hour shift if serving during Celebrate America. We appreciate your involvement in helping make Celebrate America an unforgettable event!
